the maiden quartet was established in
1999 by merith godwin-greer and vicky matthews,
and is taken from a select group of highly experienced female
professional musicians.
the group specializes in background entertainment for a variety of
events, and has extensive
experience of all types of events including weddings, media and
corporate entertainment.
we are able to produce a wide range of styles, from formal to funky,
baroque to boogie,
and have a comprehensive repertoire. if you would like to hear a
particular piece of music not on our repertoire list, it can be arranged
specially for the quartet to play. we can also cater our appearance to
any type of event, and are able to incorporate additional members to
form a chamber orchestra for events which may require a larger group.
as well as being highly experienced in the classical field, members of
the maiden quartet have also appeared live and on television (top of
the pops/sm:tv/an audience with... etc.) with artists such as elton
john, lulu, westlife and more. the maiden quartet is also available for
recital performances, session and television work.
for any occasion, be it festive or romantic, personal or civic or
